This was an office we never used. So it is going to become our art room.

Hubby tock out all the carpet flooring in this room, the landing and our bedroom for new flooring we are having put in. So this is prefect opportunity to do a mural. Hmm what to do with the walls oh yeah there is this youtube video I think is amazing.

Where else to start than the Hogwarts Castle. I did not want to miss up this Iconic structure being a potter fan. So I using a projector to project the image on to the wall. I was able trace the outline of the castle and the windows.

~1 layer, sky paint color Serene. Think I did three coats to get the solid look I want. This is wall 1/4.

Feb 9-11, 2018

I did the window's in what I had believed to be glow in the dark paint for both yellow and orange. But the glow in the dark part sadly did not work but I think I was able to get the soft light candle light look.

~2 layer the paint color Metallics Antique Bronze for Hogwarts on wall 1/4. Lost tack of have may layers I had to do, but I love it so so worth the many layers and time it tock me to get it a solid look.

The Durmstrang ship, Hogwarts boat house and the torches up to the castle, water and trees and large rock.

Feb 13, 2018

The whooping willow tree and flying Ford Anglia.

~ Tock the layer 1 and 2 over on to 1 and 2/4 wall.

{To be contuned the guy to install the heating elements for floor and than the concert art guy to do the flooring where the carpet was.}

New flooring going in. Have to pause painting.

I don't always show it but I do pre-sketch what I'm going to paint before I add color for the layer to make sure I like the lay out. Hagwed's Bike, Hagwed, Fang, his hut, and pumpkin patch with scar crow.

For wall 1 Thestrals, carriage, Hogwarts gate extra. Wall 2 the dragon and the golden egg (detail on egg later). Finally on wall 3 we have the Riddle's manor and the tombstone of Tom Riddle Sr. and extra.

Sad time in our house

on the night of Nov 29 our puppy Lilly lost the use of her hind legs tock her to the emergency vet. Lilly had the sugery on the night of Nov 30. Then she came home on Dec 1. Our other dog Merlin was already having a hard time but when lily left his health got worse. Dec 3 Lilly came home. Lilly was getting upset and frasterated on not walking so Dec 5 hubby made her a wheel chair. This is the last photo of all three. On the night of Dec 8, 2018 Merlin passed away.

Dec 15 - 18, 2018

I worked on layer 7 and 8 on all three walls.

I worked to not deal with the pain of losing Merlin then my hubby lost both is grandfather and his aunt. I have time laps video's of this phase and will be making a video clip.

I have seem to not taken any photos of the pre- sketch before adding paint. It just slowed down the process. I just really what this Mural to be done. From this point on I am not going to stress about the days per sections just the mount it was done in to speed up this proses so I can get to making the video clip.

King-crossing train station was hard to see the sketch just looked like a magic eye can you see the image.
